Just thought I'd share this with everyone on the forum:
I was having a heck of a time finding a springbar tool thin enough to fit in those teeny lil' springbar channels on the SMP steel bracelets so I could switch to my rubber band. My cheapo springbar tool was too wide, and ordering the good one (from up here in Canada) would have run big bucks ... SO ...
I took the 1.2mm "el-cheapo" jewellers' screwdriver I had, used a fine file to create a tiny scalloped convex channel in it (5 minutes' work), and viola! This thing works like a dream! No slippage when using, and considering that I paid $3.00 for the entire mini-screwdriver set at the dollar store, not bad!
