: Only Omega can say for sure. But don't let the 5 versus 6
: scare you. Omega uses several different serial number
: sequences. Some models start with a 6 (Seamaster Pro,
: DeVille, etc.) while other models start with a 5
: (Speedmaster, Seamaster Chrono, etc.).
: This was a small internal identification used briefly by Omega
: and has no significance to the end user.
: That would be a bad idea. If the French made bracelet bothers
: you, walk away from that deal and find another more to your
: liking. Why spend most of what you save replacing a several
: hundred dollar bracelet when you can simply find a
: different used watch that has the Swiss made bracelet.
: Just the bracelet was made in France for a short time. The
: watch head and movements on Omega watches are all made in
: Switzerland. They could not call it a Swiss watch if the
: main part of the watch was made anywhere else!
