: My Seamaster Pro America's Cup Chronograph may
: have a problem: when I start the stopwatch
: the minute hand jumps forward (gains time)
: about one or two sub-second marks!
: The jump is most noticeable when the stopwatch
: hand starts from the 12 o'clock position. If
: I start the stopwatch (getting a skip), stop
: it, and then restart it again without a
: reset, the minute hand does not skip ahead
: on the restart, or skips ahead very little.
: The amount that the minute hand skips seems to
: be dependant on time of day, but I haven't
: discerned a pattern yet. I've seen skips of
: half a 1/5-second mark to two 1/5-second
: marks.
: As I'm sure the participants in the forum
: understand, I take great care to keep the
: time on my SMP AC accurate. Two or three
: uses of the stopwatch and my watch gains
: several tens of seconds! Needless to say I'm
: a bit distressed. ;)
: The watch is functioning nicely otherwise; I
: gain 1.5-2 seconds a day very consistently
: since I bought it about 4 months ago. I
: haven't dropped it or otherwise mistreated
: it.
: Does my watch have a problem? Any suggestions
: on how to proceed? Other SMP AC owners have
: similar behavior? Any help is greatly
: appreciated

Did this happen from the beginning, or did it just start now??I have the New AC Chrono with the rubber srtap. I DO NOT have that problem. I just tested it and the minute hand does NOT move at all. I have owned the watch for over a month with No problem. I lose about 1 sec every two days.I would contact Omega & the dealer you bought it from.
