Hi, I'm thinking about purchasing an Omega (in particular the SMP)...A large part of the purchase relates to my interest in the complexity of automatic/manual movements, as opposed to the somewhat less complicated (in terms of moving parts) Quartz movements. Can anyone direct me to any websites that have pictures of the 1120 movement and details of its manufacture (yes I realise its automated)...its like buying a car, would you buy a Ferrari with a lawn-mower engine? - Probably not - I'm sure most would like to see the engine/details before buying on brand name alone.
