I thought the exact same thing when I first tried on my 2531.80 (the chronometer version of what you're looking to buy). I, too, am rather small. However, after a day or two I became so used to its size that my smaller Seiko watch began to look like a cheap toy.

You will definitely get used to the size. I wear my watch every day and love it, and all I ever get are compliments on it. No one ever tells me it looks too big on my wrist.
