I'd Steer Clear
In Response To: Ashford ()

Ashford used to be the best, or one of the best in the gray market business. But, last year they were bought by Diamond.com which is connected to Odimo, DiamondDepot.com, and WorldOfWatches.com. These companies sell Omegas and other brands with Serial Numbers removed. Here is a direct quote from the Ashford.com site:

"In order to provide you with extraordinary savings on your watch purchase, our vendors protect their sources of supply by removing the serial number from certain of these new genuine brand name watches. Laws in your state may require us to refer to these watches as "secondhand". These watches are covered by ashford.com's Limited Warranty and not by the original manufacturer. Our warranty matches or doubles the original manufacturer's warranty coverage period and our professional watch technicians service these watches in-house. Ashford.com guarantees the authenticity of its watches in writing and provides a confirming certificate upon request."

I wouldn't touch them. You can usually do just as good if not better through an Authorized Dealer.
