Winding Seamaster 2531.80

Hello.

I have a question about winding my new Omega Seamaster 2531.80 automatic watch. Do I have to wind the watch by turning the crown clockwise or can I just wind my watch just by shaking it? I have been currently winding my watch by shaking it (movement) everytime before I go to sleep instead of turning the crown. Is it okay to do this? Thanks for any help.
