Omega Speedmaster Day-date

Hi,

I am looking to buy a new watch and I am absolutely in love with one specific omega speedmaster. The day-date one with 24h indicator
on a black dial (Ref. 3520.50.00). It is in the price range I am looking for and it's automatic what I really want. But there's one big but that I cant seem to get a good answer to in any stores.

It says its waterproof to 30 meters, and some stores say thats fine to shower or swim with, others say that that is absolutely not possible. I know showering, especially the soap, isnt good and I never shower with my watch on anyway, but swimming (on the surface, so no diving) is something I do do with my watch every now and then. Since I dont like putting my expensive watch in my shoe on some foreign beach. Can you please give me some advise as to wether or not I can swim with the watch I specified or not?

Greetings

Peter-Paul
P.S. Please reply to my email, I check that more often. horloge@ppdebie.nl
