When did you clue in that 'constant' showering with soap and hot water might be the problem? {:o)) I'm no metalurgist but Grandma always said that a little soap and water never hurt anything, which is true to a point. Tepid water, mild soap and a toothbrush to it is one thing but why would you find it necessary to scrub it everyday!?!
Anyway, I'm sure you feel bad enough as it is, so I'll leave that portion of it alone for now. Somehwhere in your town, is an authorized Omega dealer who has one or more 'qualified' watchmaker's on the premise. Take it in for a professional opinion.
