The fact that you "shook" it to get it going again
In Response To: Seamaster Chrono stop running ()

The fact that you "shook" it to get it going again suggests to me that it may not have been fully wound in the first place. Automatics need a good full wind when you first get them running. Do this by winding it manually with the crown 40-50 turns clockwise in the unscrewed, but not pulled out position.

The Automatic winding is really intended just to maintain power reserve once it's fully wound.

Forgive me if this is all obvious to you. If it is all obvious to you and you've given it a full wind, you may want to do a power reserve test on it. Wind it fully (40-50 winds)put it away somewhere and see how long it runs. It should run about 44 hours with the Chronograph off.
