: If I order a new case for my Seamaster(Bond
: Model) off Omega will it have a serial
: number etched onto it?
No. Serial numbers are assigned to the movement, not the case. Only time I am aware that Omega laser etches the movement's serial number on the case is when the watch is assembled at the factory. Would be too complicated, expensive and error prone to try to send each replacement case individually to the factory for laser etching.
Though I hear often of shady watch sellers using the bogus explanation of a 'serial-number-less replacement case' to hide a watch's origin as coming from a gray market dealer that removed the serial number.
: Question 2, the
: divers extension on the 1503/825 bracelet
: when was the locking mechanism changed from
: the straight slat to one with a hole drilled
: into it
Hole drilled in it? I don't know what you are referring to. Can you post a photo?
