: Most of the casing numbers and identification
: (besides the movement's serial number) go on
: the inside of the backplate. So unless you
: are needing to replace the back, too, you
: will have everything except the serial.
: But, it is not like there are *fake*
: replacement cases out there that fit with
: the rest of the genuine parts. So I an
: unclear what your point of concern is. If
: you need to replace the case (yours was
: significantly damaged?), then do so -- there
: is absolutely no need to fret about the
: markings. If your watch is ever questioned,
: such as if you ever resell it, simply
: provide the repair receipt showing the case
: was replaced. End of issue.
Thanks for your help and quick response
: Haven't seen a lot of these enough to notice
: any other design of the inner bits. But I do
: know that some earlier SMPs had French made
: bracelets that had some quality issues and
: were discontinued in favor of Swiss made
: ones. When you see a no-hole one again, look
: for any markings that indicate if it was
: made in France.
