If it doesn't have a movement, then what are the hands and date display attached to? Are you sure it doen't have a movement? Have you removed the antimagnetic shield to see?
Omega does rig up non-working versions for use in catalog and publicity photographs. But if someone came into possession of one, I would be highly suspicious of how. I wouldn't think Omega would release such pieces. So I'm not impressed with the odds that a real photo demo or prototype mule on the open market would be a legitimately obtained item.
Before giving money to someone for this piece, I'd try to find out more about its origin. If anything sounds fishy, I'd walk away from such a deal.
Unless you know the seller, it could be something as bogus as a broken, stolen watch someone is trying to get rid of. It should be obvious that it doesn't take a genius to set the time on a broken watch to something like 10:10 and claim it is a 'special non-working demo piece.'
Don't know how cheap this peculiar piece is being offered to you, but you can buy the bracelet alone from ofrei.com for $386.
