I have both and prefer the Seamaster Professional and GMT, and Aqua Terra to the Speedmaster Pro.
I like having a date, and not having to wind it. The Speedmaster Pro is not a Chronometer and, in genneral, is not as accurate as the Seamasters. Also a little more peace of mind with 300 water resistance, and hundreds of $$ less.
I think the Seamasters are a better value and a better everyday watch for me.
The Speedmaster Broad Arrow has most of those other qualities as well, but at over twice the price.
