Don't be alarmed that noise that you hear is the rotor that is the part that is a small weight inside the watch that turns your wrist's motions into tension that winds the watch.
You shouldn't have to worry about riding your bicycle, or clapping, but I usually take my watch off if I'm going to play tennis or basketball not because I'm afraid to damage it but becuase it restrains my wrist movement a little bit.
