Do you see the Citizen Eco-Drive lasting you 30 years +? It may, and it may not. You are really talking about very different technologies. Quartz and Mechanical. The Quartz technology will be enhanced or surpassed some day. The History of the Speedmaster Pro is here to stay and, if properly cared for, will function for decades to come.
While I can see the allure of the Eco-Drive, I just can't get all that excited about it to choose it over a Speedmaster Pro.
If it's pure accuracy and ruggedness you want (which I don't think you do), go for a radio controlled G-Shock.
