Yes, but so what. Having to EXPLAIN this to people makes the name bad.

When the vast majority of people see APNEA on the dial of your watch, they'll only connect the word to the sleep disorder. So they'll assume you have that medical condition and require a special wristwatch to help you with the sleeping disorder.

What are they going to think of you? Especially if they think it might be something you wouldn't want to talk about, so they don't even ask. So the necessary explanation that APNEA it also part of a diving technique never gets told.
