If I'm gonna invest close to 2K in a fine watch, it might as well be a little obtrusive!
I doubt the weight will be a problem. I've worn an older-style David Clark headset and large Ray Bans with glass corrective lenses for years; I guess I like the impression of security a little extra mass lends to these things we wear. (Can't stand plastic lenses; no weight at all!)
I do have a propensity for knocking watches into door jambs, though. I imagine I'll be cringing fairly often the first few weeks!
