Or, a "monday watch", as it we'd call it in German. Since there doesn't seem to be a single WIS around who went through the same ordeal, I guess my watch isn't representative.

However, the cooperative ways of the people in Switzerland have restored a significant part of my faith. Maybe the repair people in Germany are just idiots.
To my great surprise, I got my SMP back today, 1-2 weeks earlier than they had told me, and they have even refinished the bracelet.
My next watch will be one from Frankfurt, where I can slap someone at the factory in person if things go wrong. ;-)
