: Can someone please give me the reference number
: for the watch on the left of the image of
: the day? It is described as a 1948 automatic

That model is very rare and very expensive if you can even find one.

"Omega Designs" by Anton Kreuzer
Available for order through various bookstores, but cover price is USD 59.95! In English, with interesting content. But has very sporatic and scattered coverage of models and topics. Feels like a collection of articles the author wrote at various times for various publications tossed together and bound into a book without any overall organization. Superb photos and a great reference for movement calibres used prior to the 1980s.

"Omega Saga" by Marco Richon (of Omega)
Nice but pricey and only in French. Sells for a whopping CHF 200 (about USD 154), not including shipping! Info at:
