I do not agree, for the sole reason that the primary reason for the GMT to COMPARE time in two timezones, not to find out if your own time is AM or PM. The GMT is a "surface dwellers, globe trotting" watch.
Also, the extra pressures experienced by cave explorers are NOT worthy of bothering with, what would be an "Air Escape Valve". At 1000m (3280ft) below sea level the air pressure is about 16.5 psi (about 1.123 atmospheres).
Just my humble opinion, with some real science.
