I just got a new DeVille Co-Axial Chronograph which is a brand new model and it starts with 7805xxxx, while my 3 year old Seamaster Pro America's Cup is 8040xxxx. They are not sequential by year.

What you said sounds perfectly normal and doesn't raise any red flags on the surface of it.
