Thanks to those who have posted or sent me e-mail. Since my last post, one of the authorized dealers I visited called me with the news that his Omega salesman has located a 2311.21 at another dealer in his territory. He can have the watch for me in a few days, but asked me to commit to a purchase at what I consider to be a 'standard discount' from list. Now that I know that there is one available, I'm sure there are more of this discontinued model out there in inventory. The search will continue..First, I need to see this model personally (the 2302.21 would serve that purpose, too) before committing to a purchase. Second, perhaps I can find a better price.
Thanks again to all who have taken an interest in my search. I'll continue to post as events unfold.
