The Cal 1128 is based on the 1120. I'm sure it's more complex, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will cost more to service, or be less reliable. I find the Date Setting to be only slightly more inconvenient than the Quick Date Set on the 1120. Unless you go for weeks without wearing it, you shouldn't have to go far with it. It can also be rolled forward or backward. Like the 1120, the date can be set without hacking the minutes and seconds. If you wear the watch on a regular basis, you will probably only have to roll it forward a day or two a few times a year.
