: It seems that everywhere you look, buyers
: especially new buyers are going for the
: Seamaster. This of course is due to James
Oh? Are you really seeing this? I've had the 'Bond' for over five years and rarely spot one on someone else's wrist.
Sure, you hear a lot of talk on the watch discussion groups about the Bond Seamaster, but remember, the people on these groups are a MINISCULE portion of the overall population.
It is nonsense to hear a couple of hundred elite watch collectors across the globe talk about the same watch and decide this means the has become the common item of the masses!
: this watch. It’s sad but I have seen the
: Seamaster even in Costco at discounted
In fact, Costco has carried Patek, Rolex, Breitling, Cartier, Ebel and numerous other high prestige brands. Heck, you can find all these brands on eBay, too. So what. Gray market watch dealers are effectively second-hand watch stores and are NOT official representatives of the brand.
: Seamaster become a relatively inexpensive
: mainstream theme watch for the masses?
No watch over $500 could ever be considered either inexpensive or for the masses. When most people seldom pay more than $200 for a watch, any watch in the $1000 and up range is still quite rare and unusual.
