My wife also has a quartz SMP 300m ladies version and it loses a little over a second a week. Personally, I think it should be more accurate. For instance, my Dad has a 1989 Midsize SMP quartz and it was perfection in accuracy. The second hand hit the 12hr mark every time the shortwave radio beeped to 00 seconds. Even months after. It was amazing and really made the watch worth so much more than a Casio.
If Omega offered an afordable auto version (I believe it's offerd in the solid gold case)of my wife's quartz SMP I would have gotten that instead due mainly to the less than stellar performance her watch exhibits. Of course, she could care a less!
