: You shouldn't buy a watch for the value it may
: have someday. Watches depreciate greatly. If
: you are looking for an investment, go to a
: bank and talk to a financial advisor. Buy
: which one makes you happy. If you want to
: talk future value, think sentimental. What
: do you think will mean more to YOU later
: down the road.
: I have handled both quartz and auto versions of
: the AT and I personally didn't notice
: anything, however I wasn't paying attention
: to the possible differences in weight.
: Hope that helps.
Thanks for the input. It is interesting to say that the last jewler I delt with told me specfically that the autos hold their value longer than a quartz. At that point I had never thought of holding of value. I just wanted to make sure that after the purchase of a time piece I don't look back with any regret.
One other question, I see that many people are posting that the automatics loose 2-3 seconds a day. How is it that one is able to determine this and what is the loss of seconds being compared to?
Thanks again for all of your input
