Well, there is one big benefit when buying in Switzerland: You don't pay taxes, since it is the country of origin. On the other hand, you will not get a huge discount, best thing is to pay cash and not by credit card.
Overall, my impression is that Switzerland offers mostly better prices - but going to Singapur is even better.

Also, it might be just a little bit more romantic, buying an Omega in Switzerland and taking it back.
NOW BRING THAT MONEY OVER HERE - Swiss Economics are not that good as they used to be...
