Mini - Review, SMP

Yes! I´ve had my SMP 2531.80 for about a week now and feel confident enough to comment little on it.

Prior to buying SMP auto, I´ve only owned quartz watches whole my life.. but recently I got more and more intrigued to buy an auto and before hitting for the real thing, I bought a Swatch Irony automatic and found out that I could live with the less accuracy of an automatic.

Accuracy - My SMP gains about 3.5 sec /day (when dividing the total amount of seconds with the days = average per day. Perfect! Don´t want it to settle too much so that it might lose time instead of gaining though.

Dial, bracelet etc : wonderful! The bracelet is much more comfy than my speedmaster bracelet and the clasp is somewhat wider too. The dial is almost as good it could get - only some minor "leakage" of Luminova from the dot next to the date window.. I´ve seen some bad cases though, where the Luminova has leaked almost unbelievably! Strange, when Omega wants to push their image to a higher level of quality.

Date - There seems to be variation on the date change, approx. 30 - 60 sec actually. sometimes it would change 4 minutes prior to midnight and sometimes 3 minutes to midnite, and sometimes 2 1/2 minutes prior to midnight..
Thought it would change on spot just like that, but maybe it isn´t any problem.

I rarely wear my SMP quartz anymore, but it has now become my beater-watch!

10 points outta 10!

Thanks for your attention
