Re: SMP DiverChronograph Vs. America's Cup Chronog

: Hi every one. Great forum here. Lot's of good
: info. I'm about to buy and need a few final
: points clarified. If I understand it right
: the SMP Diver chronograph has the Omega 1120
: movement but the America's cup uses the
: Omega 3303 (The same as the higher priced
: Broad arrow) This is a better quality
: movement? Also does anyone know the height
: of the Americas Cup? Aside form the beter
: mechanical movement what are the technical
: differences between the two? And finally, I
: understand the MSRP of the Americas cup is
: $3295.00. What is it for the SMP Diver
: Chronograph? I found an auth. dealer who has
: offered 35% off, unless anyone knows of a
: better deal I'll probably jump at that once
: I decide which watch.

: Thanx in advance for the help and the
: education. Reading the postings has really
: helped in my search.

I am confident that any omega you buy will be mpressive, The 1120 movement is a chronometer certified ETA 2892 highly modifid by Omega and is highly regarded. Is that what you meant by chronograph which is a stop watch function basically If I may recommend (contacting Kieth Downing as his contact for Omega is great) I will do so since I purchased one about a year ago using his source and was very impressed also he (Kieth knows a ton about Omega and can point out the finer differences between the two models you are looking at.)
