Andrew, all I've 'ever' known >>>
In Response To: Buying a New Watch ()

I learned in kindergarten, as the book says. Seriously though, I've been coming here for about three years, and I still know very little. I don't know what a tourbillon is, or an escapement and frankly, I don't care anymore. It's not important to me that I know, just that it is.

All I need to know is that Omega makes nice watches, and they're ALL good. So for me, it really comes down to aesthetics. I own five Omega's, most of which contain different movements and which is 'better', I don't know, nor does it really matter. Some people claim the best movements Omega ever made are from the 40's and 50's and aren't even made anymore!

Is any of this making any sense to you? No matter which you choose, it will be a good watch whether you understand "exactly" what is going on inside or not.

Regards,

Dave
