Well, I have to sort of disagree, this is similar to the auto/quartz question. If you don't care at all whats going on inside there, why not just go quartz?
While I dont know the specifics that seperate the bulk of the common movements- I WANT to know.
Very much like my "primary" hobby, home theater. I obsess for what seams like months on a given equipment upgrade. "what seperates this from the other new models, and how is that diffrent from what I already have"
Now kites, my first love, are bought based on who made them. The same design- even with the same materials, can be an entirly diffrent performer depending on the hands that sewed it.
While I realize for the most part the diffrences in all these high end things are tiny, and don't matter a hoot- I ENJOY obsessing over the details.
