buying SMP chronograph (2298.80/2599.80) *LINK*

(questions in order of importance)

1.)
i wanted to buy the SMP chronograph for myself for graduation (end of april '04), but i heard this may be (if not already) discontinued in favor of the america's cup edition. should i buy one now? or wait until april?

2.)
i also would like to replace the skeleton hands with the broadsword hands. can anyone tell me how i might do this? and how much it would cost?

3.)
i'm also trying to decide between Ti and stainless steel:
Ti: 2298.80.00
SS: 2599.80.00
from what i have gathered, Ti is lighter, more expensive, and easier to scratch. i suppose i will just have to go to a store to compare them to see for myself.

thanks!
