In my opinion, a sport watch should be worn while doing, well. . .sports. I've had my SMPro about 2 weeks now and I've been out rock climbing once already and yes, the clasp immediately got scratched. It is a little thicker than my old Seiko and it will probably get in the way a little more. A few scratches will give it some character. Treat your watch with proper care but please, go out and ENJOY it.
I don't know about you, but I am sick of seeing freshly waxed Ford Explorers and Land Rovers that have never seen the inside of a mud puddle.
