Your examples are not exactly effective.

Hypothetically, a housewife may be involved with alot more activities with washing/cleaning that may increase the chances of a wrist watch being damaged... as opposed to a dude sitting in the office with long sleeves on a daily basis.. you dont need to do extreme sports to get a watch scratched. In fact, alot of the damaged induced would be home inflicted e.g: carrying stuff, cleaning drawers etc...

Im just saying that it goes by prob.. if something is thrown at 2 targets, one with a larger surface than the other, the larger one would technically have a greater prob of getting hit.

Its a shame to see alot of people getting affected by the trend of big faced watches and not choosing stuff which really suits them e.g; Panerai's sudden huge rise in sales... just like spectacles during seventies. But hey its all about self opinion right? :o)
