Yes, it indeed works.
(I have no pictures to support my statement though.)
But you may want to know that the nice engraving on the clasp (Omega + logo) will lose its deep sharp edges around the letters.
But as Jalle´s already mentioned; you´ll end up with new scratches within a week. Trust me.
