Firstly I would like to say that there is a misalignment and certainly no parallax error, I'm pretty sure I know what I'm looking at.
Secondly I would like to assure all who are concerned that this oddity takes nothing from the pleasure I get from it. (I had spotted the imperfection in the photos before buying the watch).
Thirdly I'm 99.9% certain that the watch is not fake, it does everything that a Seamaster Pro should, the movement is correct and has the time zone change feature. Frankly the build quality is so good, that if it were a fake the faker should be working for Omega.
The photo's on Ebay did not do the watch any justice (in fact they did it an injustice), I was amazed when I got it at how new the watch looks.
I will say that the seller was excellent and did exactly what he said he would do. Yes buying a watch from overseas was a risk, but for me it paid off, I think to describe the seller as selling shaky stuff is unfair unless JimC has had first hand experience of dealings with this guy. He does have excellent feedback
The watch will be going for a service next week and to get some links fitted to the bracelet. I will enquire about the bezel and let you know
Cheers
Jon
