I love my Omega SMP 2254.50, but from a pure functionality and ruggedness standpoint, I'd have to give my vote to the Casio G-Shock. I am on my second one. I purchased my first one in 1989 for about 50 bucks. Through the years it was subjected to abuse that I cannot imagine any other watch taking, from getting banged around in sports and on the job, going into the shower and hot tubs, being dropped numerous times, etc. The plastic around the case finally peeled off after about 9 years, and I went through numerous bands. I finally had to replace the battery on it after 11 years. I took it to a kiosk at a mall, where of course it was not sealed properly, and you could see moisture inside of it, but it still worked for a couple of years before it finally died, meaning I could not switch functions by pushing the buttons. Anybody else own one of these?
