my Lancaster PA experience

I can confirm absolutely the Lancaster PA service center leaves a lot to be desired. Over 20 years I've send my Seamaster there every 4-5 years for gasket replacements and buffing. 2 out of 5 times I had to send the watch back to the attention of a "supervisor" because they did more harm to the watch then good. they did correct the mistakes, but waiting over a month each time just to get the work done really sux.
Probably the only reason I keep going back there for more abuse is because I have not bothered to find a local watchmaker I trust. maybe the next Omega I get I'll let the local guy who changes my batteries and checks the waterproof seals do more PM work on it as well... we'll see.
The one good thing about Lancaster PA is they replaced a lot of defective parts for free. I got a new watch band clasp, new watch face, new crown/stem, and new set of hands, and only paid for the labor. It was almost like Omega was embarrassed these parts failed on a normal wear watch, so they replaced them without much fuss.
