Certainly the newer style bracelet is much less expensive to produce- the parts count has been cut by two-thirds.
My preference is for the old style bracelet, for reasons of comfort and style.
Both bracelets have a far superior clasp to that which is issued on the Rolex SM
: I have the newer Speedie style bracelet and
: love it.It has a nice simple clean look,and
: is easier to size due to just one managable
: roller tube in the links. Those ting collars
: the older style uses can't possibly hold the
: braclet together over time as well as one
: longer single tube,I'd think.
: But with that said,I'm thinking buying the
: original Bond watch over the newer
: "Electric Blue"/sword hands
: version, since it too resembles the black one
: with the same bracelet and hands.
: The old Bond has those truly "unique"
: hands!
: I would like to own both versions of the SMP
: bracelets.....
