I am contemplating buying an older Omega Seamaster Professional and need some expert opinions. After looking through this web site, its obvious the watch is the first generation (steel case, gold bezel, black face, black numbers on white background in date window, band is integral to watch.
I asked the seller for the serial numbers (this is off e-bay) and he said they were in the clasp (#1455-452). Is this possible? The info here indicates it should be either inside the case or on the lower left strap lug.
Assuming it is an authentic item, what would be a fair price for this vintage watch in fair condition?
thanks, e-mail me directly if you want, I have some pictures of it to be attached to a reply.
