I have a Speedmaster Professional Mark 2 ( in Roman numerals ) that I bought brand new in Switzerland in 1970.
I can't seem to find out anything on this model at any of the Omega sites I've been to.
It's always been a "special watch" to me as I'd looked at it in countless jewelry store windows but couldn't afford the roughly $350 US at the time as I was a "starving student" travellor doing Europe.
One day after looking at the Mark 2 in a window of a store in Zurich and deciding that "I can't possibly afford it", I found a $100 US bill in a restaurant washroom sink !
I took it as a sign from above that "the man upstairs" wanted me to have it ! I bought it for only $150 US and I've had it ever since which is now 33 years !
The watch is a "winder" of course and it has a Sapphire crystal.
Any help would be appreciated !
