That sounds right for the 1020 movement, which was in use in the mid-1970s.

No, that is the case number. The serial number is eight digits and should be on the movement and have no punctuation in it.

Need a photo to tell more. But the basic model is an Omega Seamaster Automatic. Anything more specific will simply be a numerical model designation that won't really have any meaning to you.

Try calling the Omega distributor or repair center for your region. They may be able to look up the year based on the serial number for you. Omega HQ in Switzerland can usually do that, but the person who handles those requests is on leave for several months.
