: i'm not complaining about the dealer i bought
: the watch from at all but rather the Omega
: service center! in my case, i trust
: completely that the authorized dealer i
: bought the watch from could help out. but i
: would have to send the watch back to them,
: pay for shipping and insurance and wait for
: it's return back, etc. i would rather have
: someone local do the quick open of the case
: and brush/blow out the fleck for me quicker.
: my point was that it seems the Omega Service
: Center practices favoritism for customers
: who are paying money for their
: repair/sizing, etc. over customers with a
: watch under warranty. seems a bit unfair
: that the Omega service center would give
: preference to someone with a grey market
: watch who is paying for their repair over
: someone with a watch under Omega warranty.
I posted my story a couple of days ago.....I had no problem sending my watch for repair under waranty v.s. an authorized dealer from wichI did not purchase the watch from.....Rather trouble with the authorized repair service in Toronto, Canada.....they butchered my watch twice out of 3 repairs in one year...and not for a couple of seconds a month, but for a watch (SMT ChronoPro) that stoped while worn....Hell...if I knew about it, I would not have hesitated in paying a competant repair man to fix it.....I now have to deal with Omega Headquarters....a nightmare.
