: I have AN SMP midsize quartz and have always
: wondered about something.......I do a bit of
: fresh water diving and the watch gets
: exposed to a lot of silt, sand etc. Whenever
: I turn the bezel, ( on dry land ) it is
: always "gritty" sounding that no
: amount of water or cleaning will remove. Has
: anyone had this problem or know how to
: remove the gunk that accumulates under the
: bezel?
: Thanks.
Try a liquid soap and warm (not hot) water and turning the bezel many times while "soapy". Maybe do the same immersed in sink filled with soapy water. Rinse thoroughly (obviously!).
This has worked for me, but your situation sounds more severe.
Good luck
