First of all, thanks to Mark Canon, who saw my post on this forum and emailed me with the name of a retailer who gave me a great discount on a new speedy bracelet (for my SMP Diver).
The bracelet should arrive in a few days. Now I'm wondering if anyone can tell me the best way to go about having it fitted.
I live in San Francisco, and there happens to be an Omega Service Center upstairs from the jeweler from whom I originally bought the watch. However, I don't think I'll get very timely service from the SC, and that seems like overkill for a bracelet fitting, anyway.
As for the jeweler - well, I haven't been all that impressed with them, post-sale, and I'm not all that eager to walk in with the already-paid-for watch and a bracelet from elsewhere, wanting a fitting.
Can I trust any local jeweler who sells Omega to do a good job here? Any advice on how to proceed? Thanks in advance.
