I prefer the 2531.80 for several reasons. One is that the Bond style braclet feels like a much more finely crafted piece of jewelry than the oyster style bracelet. Second, I find the numbers on the 2254.50's bezel to be much too large. The ones on the 2531.80 are just the right size.
I also prefer the skeleton style hands on the 2531.80, even though they have less superluminova than the 2254.50 so they are a bit harder to see at night.
The only thing I like better about the 2254.50 is that it comes with a black dial and bezel. Otherwise, in my humble opinion, the 2531.80 just looks better.
