I am looking at my watch, which I know is a 2055.80, (full-size , auto. with bond bracelet) purchased in January 2001, and the marker looks like what you claim is the 2255.80. The only thing I can imagine is that your pictures are accidentally "mixing" quartz and automatic models of this watch. The longer marker at 3:00 has been noted before as being on the quartz model.
