I personally like the speedmaster better than the seamaster. I also bought the 3513.50 okt 2002. 'The case is smaller (read more subtile) than that of a seamaster or speedy pro. The valjoux just tiks fine and is very accurate (don't know the percise accuracy but this site will help you with that!) Quartz movements of a decent brand are always more accurate but a mechanical movement is in it with its sophistication. If you want my advise just buy the speedy date (nice mechanical movement in a solid, subtile case --> I bought it for life). But in the end its your call an an seamaster also is a fine watch! --> Have fun searching one!
regards,
Erik
