Re: What do You think...

I own both an automatic + quartz version of SMP.
I gotta say - you´re right.
There is no such thing as a "soul" inside the automatic. Nor does it breathe or is less alive.
It´s fun to watch the sweeping second hand but that alone isn´t worth paying the extra bucks.
I´m gonna pass both of my watches to my future sons/daughters and I´m convinced that they´ll love both of them - they´ll love the auto because it´s really ancient technology and the quartz cos it will remind them how vulnerable the chip-making tech was when comparing with *their* upto-date super-duper high tech in watchmaking.
I´m convinced that they´ll wear both watches with pride and gratitude.
(they´ll probably need to heavily refurb the parts in the quartz)

But the feeling (which Mr Ziglar mentioned somewhere in the FAQ) of having a coin sized "ancient" tech-marvel on your wrist that hasn´t really changed over the past centuries is gonna give you the "feeling", because we´re surrounded by high-tech modules no matter what we do, no matter where we´re at and so forth in our daily life.
